Kept Pure Press exists to glorify God by upholding the authority of his Holy Word as summarized in the Westminster Confession of Faith:
“The Old Testament in Hebrew (which was the native language of the people of God of old), and the New Testament in Greek (which, at the time of the writing of it, was most generally known to the nations), being immediately inspired by God, and, by his singular care and providence, kept pure in all ages, are therefore authentical; so as, in all controversies of religion, the church is finally to appeal unto them… [I.8]”
With the Reformers and the post-reformation orthodox, Kept Pure Press identifies these “authentical” scriptures as the traditional Masoretic Text of the Hebrew Old Testament and the Received Text of the Greek New Testament.
In addition to this chief aim, Kept Pure Press also seeks to defend the continued value of translations which are based upon the traditional text such as the Authorized, or King James, Version.
